Have you forgotten how to have fun?

Stop taking your self so seriously, it's ok to laugh at yourself sometimes.

September 11, 2001 a date many of us will remember the remainder of our lives!

Dear Friends,

Our hearts are heavy and our minds our numb as we search all that we have heard and witnessed by way of television as passenger planes flew directly into The World Trade Center, destroying two towers while another plane flew directly into the Pentagon and yet a third plane crashed into the ground. Thousands and thousands of lives were lost in these three buildings and an unknown number injured as well as those passengers that were killed in the planes.

Please be in prayer for the search and rescue efforts, for the safety of those who are providing these services. Pray that God would guide them to those who are still alive and awaiting rescue. Pray that God would protect, provide and comfort those who are yet alive and awaiting rescue. That he would comfort and heal those many that have lost loved ones. Pray also that He would comfort those who are separated from loved ones not knowing if they are alive and well.

As we struggle with the different emotions that flood us we need to be careful of the anger that we may begin to feel. We need to properly identify the true enemy here. Satan is the true enemy no matter what person or persons he used to carry out these horrible acts. We, as Christians still are required to give that anger to God and allow him to be our defender.

Anger at the true enemy is not a bad thing. But our reaction to that anger is what we need to be concerned about. What can we accomplish by holding on to that anger, nothing. By releasing that anger to God, allowing him to be the Sovereign God that he IS we have freed ourselves from the individual destruction that could come to us and given God the freedom to reign.

I believe what the Scripture says, that God has placed those persons in each particular office of authority. We need to be in prayer for those people as they make the necessary decisions to protect and defend our country today and in the future.   Pray that they will lean heavily on God for direction and clearly hear his direction.   If they don't know Jesus as Savior and God as their Heavenly Father, Guide and Defender we need to pray for their salvation.

Heavenly Father,

Draw your people close to you, heal them and love them. Protect us from using these circumstances to lash out in anger and hatred. You can reveal our enemies and are able to destroy them though they hide in darkness you can reveal them for whom and what they are. We ask that you be our defender and that the true enemy will be held responsible for all that has taken place to the extent of his house hold. We would ask that for each life that was lost, at least one soul will be saved. We are unable to sort out our feelings, help us as we struggle and help, guide our government leaders, and meet us all at our place of need.

In Jesus Name, Amen.
