Be Simply Women
It's spring 2008. For the first time in years I'm not terribly behind in my lawn work. Today I've mowed the grass and it's only mid April. My 13 pound poodle was getting lost in the grass because it was so high and needing to be mowed. I've enjoyed spending the day trimming back bushes to provide more nourishment to the main bush and I've been enjoying the plants that are blooming, efforts of past years work. Crocus, Daffodils and hyacinths are finished for this year. Bleeding Hearts and Forsythia are blooming now. The Tulips, Lilly of the Valley and Lilacs should bloom in the next week or two and the tree in front of my house should bloom about the same time. I don't know what type of tree it may be but it's full of white blossoms and when they fall to the ground it blankets he grass as though it had snowed. There are many more plants that will come later.
After a Pennsylvania winter it's nice to see life begin again. And a greater blessing to be able to be outside to experience it, to be a part of life taking place.
My dog is enjoying the day as much as I. I'm sitting outside writing this message on a lap top computer. This is a new experience for me. I'm usually tied to a desk and have to look the window at the world outside. The sunshine, the breeze, the sound of the birds are all things that I couldn't experience from inside my home. It is nice to be a part of that world today.
Have you ever felt like you are watching the world around you but feel as though you are not a part of it? have you stopped to question why you feel this way? Why do you feel distant from the world that surrounds you?
Are you hurting so much that you choose to be distant?
Are you afraid of being rejected?
Are you in an abusive relationship?
Do you believe that your life is just too busy?
Your life is a gift from God. That is a fact.
You are special and loved so very much by your Heavenly Father. He wants you to be free to enjoy the life he has given you. Share with him your fear of the world that surrounds you. Allow him to open the doors for you to enter the world he has prepared for you to enjoy.
